This is the seventh layout for my personal blog, Windymill. As is usual with my blog's layouts I kept this layout as a two-columned layout with a header and a footer. The navigation is a roll-over image map located in the header image which is both an eye-catching and interactive way to navigate. The layout also mixes both sans-serif and serif fonts in the sidebar and main content areas in order to better distinguish between header and body text.
I chose a more neutral combination of blue and beige to be the main, foundation colors of the design and then used the bright orange-red as accents of colors. This helped to keep the design looking fresh but not overly bright.
Overall the layout is quite clean with the header injecting more character into the layout as a whole.
